About the role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who has expertise in both Information Security and development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and applications, leveraging hands-on experience with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and security protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Document cloud infrastructure and application designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for compliance.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to remediate security issues.
- Automate security controls and processes using scripting and programming languages.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, alerts, and ongoing threats.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure design and implementation with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorisation and accounting (IAM, Federation, RBAC, service accounts) for public cloud and kubernetes.
- Knowledge of container hardening and implementation within kubernetes.
- Strong experience in DevOps methodologies and automation, including source control management, continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and containerization, with expertise in authentication and authorization for public cloud and Kubernetes, container hardening, and Kubernetes implementation.
- Experience in information security, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implementing and automating security controls, with expertise in security protocols (TLS, SSL, SSH) and frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Good understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including wallets, smart contracts, protocol design, and decentralized finance is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with a do-it-yourself attitude and a pragmatic approach suitable for a startup environment.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and drive projects to production.
