GSR, crypto’s capital markets partner, has appointed Frank Chaparro as its first Head of Content and Special Projects to support the firm’s continued expansion across trading, advisory and co-creation, treasury management, and venture.
Based in New York, Chaparro brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of media, market structure, and strategic communications. He was the founding reporter at The Block, where he also served as Editor-at-Large, Director of Special Projects, and host of the flagship podcast The Scoop. In addition to his editorial leadership, over the past year he has advised and invested in dozens of companies across crypto, fintech, and financial services, playing a pivotal role in shaping brand strategy, marketing, and narrative development.
In his new role at GSR, Chaparro will drive initiatives across brand development, market insights, events, and strategic engagement with founders and institutional clients. Reporting to GSR President Jakob Palmstierna, he will collaborate closely with teams across the firm to strengthen the platform that connects GSR’s venture portfolio, institutional relationships, and broader market presence.
Looking ahead, Chaparro will also play a key role in exploring new content and media initiatives that leverage GSR’s market intelligence and extensive network. These initiatives aim to empower founders, investors, and institutions with transparent, high-quality information and to foster deeper engagement across the ecosystem.
