After a successful final testnet merge on Goerli, Ethereum developers yesterday declared a tentative total terminal difficulty, which will activate The Merge on Ethereum mainnet, allow mainnet to merge with the Beacon Chain, and move the network from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. Likely dates include September 15, 16, and 20.
